Back at camp, we got ready for bed. When we were done, Chloe asked me something.

“So earlier,” she said. “When we were ice skating…” I didnt like where this was going. “You said you wanted to tell me something.”

Shoot.

“Well…” I was stuck. “I had a question, um… I think I already know the answer,but… um…”

“What?” she said.

I took a deep breath.

“Doyoulikeme?” I said really fast. I Shut my eyes for a second, then looked at Chloe she seemed surprised.

“Well, what if i said no?”

“Then… that would be okay,” I replied.

“And what if I said yes?”

“Uh, that would be okay too.”

“Well, if you really want to know…” she said. “Ask rosie.”

Really?!

I have to wait 12 hours before I kow. I sighed.

“Well, night.” I said.

“Night.”

When I woke up, Chloe was sulking on her bed.

“Rise and shine,” she said flatly.

She pulled her hair into a pony tail

“Ready to go?” she asked.

“Were leaving?” I said. “Now?”

“No, to breakfast.” she said.

“Oh, duh.” I laughed nervously.

We went to the cafeteria and met our team and Edith and Beverly.

“Hey gys”, said luna.

“Heres the plan.” said Edith. “You guys get breakfast, then we’ll pack some stuff, then youll take off.

“Oh,” I said.

After we ate Edith gave Chloe and me backpacks. We shoved in extra clothes and weapons and stuff. Beverly snuck us some snakcs like pockys, goldfish, and fudge stirpes cookies. Rosie took us to Luna’s work room.

As we were walking, I stopped rosie.

“Rosie.” I said.

“Yeah?” she asked and waked at my speed.

“Chloe told me to ask you if she liked me.” I said. “Does she?”

Rosie grinned and nodded. Very violently. I thought her head was going to fall off.

Wait…

She does?!!

Chloe liked me. I didnt know how I felt. Happy, I guess, but something else, too. It was weird.

We went inti the work room. Jada was on her stand, calling out things and Luna was shoving various items into a bag.

Rosie sighed.

“Luna. What is all this?!” dhe asked.

“It’s for Jada!”

“You just updated her, like three days ago!”

“Valid.” said Jada.

“Fine.” said Luna. “Im still bringing the ipad.” she dumped everything out. It was a huge mess.

“Um.. i’ll pick it up when we get back.” she said.

If we get bacl, I thought. Just then, Edith opened the door.

“You guys ready?” she said. “We’re going now.”
